Getting involved in ministering on a regular basis always helps me stay pure. After all, who wants to be known as a hypocrite? Certainly not me.

The dictionary defines a hypocrite as this: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion. 2: a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings.

When you know that you are going to be on stage representing the Lord, you hold yourself to a higher standard. If you want to be an effective minister for Christ, then your light needs to be shining brightly. When there’s sexual immorality in your life, your light won’t shine very bright. The other thing about being involved in ministry is that it forces you to have fellowship with Christians. Being involved in church activities and ministry will create positive pressures on your life that will help you stay on the straight and narrow path.
